The Bachelorette’s Mike Johnson is telling his side of the story in the whole asking Keke Palmer out on a date on live television while she was working situation that we told you about earlier this week.
What’s up guys? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and Mike Johnson is trying to set the record straight on his recent awkward encounter with Keke Palmer. We all know that Mike is certainly not afraid to publicly put himself out there. Since he’s been on the Bachelorette, he’s publicly dated Demi Lovato and has been very outspoken about their relationship.During an appearance on the “Almost Famous” podcast, Mike went in on the details about dating Demi. He had previously confirmed that they connected and went on a date together, but he also revealed that quote, “We've gone on more than one date.”
He also got a little far into the TMI and said QUOTE, “I like her tattoos. We both have a lot of tattoos and she kisses really well…” But Mike did admit to Us Weekly that he may have spilled too much tea about his romantic life! He said quote, “I truly don’t like speaking on certain things. I’m getting in trouble with my homeboys right now about it. I’m learning. I’m still a human being. I’m not perfect. I’ve messed up in the past … I messed up and I’m going to try not to let it happen again.”But, that didn’t stop him from making his intentions known with Keke Palmer on live television.
On Monday’s episode of ‘Strahan, Sara & Keke,’ after being asked about his recent fling with Demi, Mike quickly changed the topic to him and Keke. Keke was clearly caught off guard by the moment and taken aback so she just covered her face with her interview card. Since the cringeworthy live TV moment, Keke, Strahan, and Sara discussed whether or not she’d grabbing a drink with Big Mike. That’s gonna be a no for Keke, dog. But she also went on to address exactly what was going through her mind during that encounter. She started off and said quote, “I get real spooked about entertainers or reality stars…I don’t know, it really scares me to date people in the industry — that’s number one.”And her second reason was even more understandable. And when Sara asked her if she felt “ambushed,” Keke said quote, “I felt ambushed. I felt like it was a big ol’ gag.”
So yeah, I guess in case it wasn’t obvious before, not all people are interested in dating on TV. Something that Bachelor contestants may not understand.First, he tweeted about it and wrote quote, “For those with untrue assumptions.. I'm grateful to be in your thoughts... 1. I deflected a question posed to me on my dating life - made a playful comment 2. I love black women too 3. Im happy, those are the vibes
