Kelly Osbourne is speaking out on Twitter about Kathy Griffin’s departure from Fashion Police.
And the saga continues after Kathy announced she was quitting the E! series. Really, it’s not as much drama that everyone is making it out to be. For the record, I’m a fan of all of these hosts and the network, but sometimes it’s just time to say goodbye… and Kathy did just that by posting an announcement. Kelly – who also recently moved on from the show, reacted with support for the comedian, tweeting, QUOTE ‘I could not be more proud of you Kathy Griffin you have my love and support always.’ In fact, there was a flood of love from celebrities on Twitter, including from Chelsea Handler, Rosie O’Donnell, Jane Lynch and even Josh Groban. As far as her statement goes, Kathy laid out her reasons for leaving quite thoughtfully and she’s not making this dramatic at all. QUOTE ‘I do not want to use my comedy to contribute to a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance towards difference… After 7 episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show & now it’s time to move on. I wish E! and the E! team only the best and I hope to continue to make you all laugh performing live on television…’ the message goes on, and I encourage you to read the entire thing, not just the excerpts I’m reading now. She’s a funny lady and we’re sending her the best. No word on what’s the next steps for the popular show, but they’ll figure it out no doubt.
