So you remember back in April when Pepsi released a highly controversial ad that featured Kendall Jenner? Of course you do. How could you forget the commercial that saw Kendall hand a police officer a can of Pepsi during a protest? Many bashed the ad AND Kendall for appropriating the Black Lives Matter movement.
Kendall was supposedly devastated over the backlash and controversy, but never released an apology or official statement on the matter. Pepsi on the other hand, pulled the ad AND issued an apology.
Then in August, Kim Kardashian inserted herself into the conversation during the family’s tell-all interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Kim revealed that Kendall didn’t speak up because she didn’t want people to see footage of her crying. Ironically, it’s a trailer for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians 10th anniversary special that has unveiled Kendall’s side of the story.
While this teaser is brief, we have a feel there’s a whole lot more where that came from. The clip reveals Kendall’s total devastation from the Pepsi ad, saying she feels like her life is over. Spoiler: it’s not. Kendall bounced back from that controversy and 5 months later is modeling as if nothing ever happened.
Soooo this still isn’t Kendall publicly acknowledging the ad or any wrongdoing, but it gives us insight into her world. Are you guys still wanting more from Kendall in the realm of an apology? Or are we over it now? Tell us your thoughts in the comment box below. Then click here to check out 11 controversial Kendall & Kylie Jenner moments.
