Kim K paid homage to the OG bombshell, Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Vogue Brazil, channeling Marilyn’s style and signature platinum blond pin-up curls. This cover marks the third time Kim has been featured on the cover of Vogue, the first being for Vogue Australia in February as well as in 2014 when she famously dawned the U.S cover with Kanye.
Being now a veteran Vogue cover girl, this is a big deal for Kim! We’re talking Vogue as in the ultimate style bible people! Kim truly has cemented herself as a fashion icon and has been called the Marilyn Monroe of this generation. Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci testifies to this fact saying QUOTE – “[Kim] is the Monroe of our age. People think she's like a doll, but actually she's tough and clever."
In one shot from the elite photo-shoot, Kim is shown in a close up rocking the blond do with leather gloves showing off those signature Kardashian lashes, full lips, and busty cleavage.
And speaking of cleavage, this next shot leaves very little up to the imagination showing Kim sitting on her legs wearing some black stockings, the leather black gloves and not much else.
Another shot shows Kim in a classic Marilyn look styled in a cropped black turtleneck with a matching pencil skirt, accessorized with her famous Mrs. West signature - that planet wedding ring.
And for a further sneak peek into her Vogue shoot, Kim posted a quick teaser on Instagram that shows her posing and pampering in full glam mode set to her hubby’s music. Check it out:
Weerk girl. Say what you want about Kim, but you can’t deny that she knows how to work those angles.
As for her hair, you may remember that Kim rocked the platinum do for a while but then changed back to her natural color. She spoke about her experimentation with going blonde telling E! QUOTE - I did love the blond and I wish I could have kept it a little longer [but] I really wanted to go to Armenia being a brunette. I wish I had kept it a couple months longer. I'll do it again, but I'm going to have to wait now a couple years because it just damaged my hair so much—I just need to get it back."
