Kim Kardashian Faces BACKLASH Over Vogue India Cover & Here's Why

Kim Kardashian is under fire for her controversial cover of Vogue India’s March issue. While Kim is celebrating her 7th Vogue cover, the Internet is shaking its head at the photo shoot. Kim shared one of two covers on Instagram, where she’s seen lying in a bed of flowers with a low cut black gown on. The second cover sees Kim covered up in a feminine one shoulder fire-red dress. Many readers have spoken out because they believe a woman of South Asian descent should have graced the cover, not Kim, who is of Armenian descent. One fan pleaded on Twitter, “First Kendall, now Kim for Vogue India? huh we don't need them, we've got enough talented brown models who deserve to be on the cover rather than the Kardashians”.
But we’re just getting started. A preview of the cover photo shoot sees Kim posing on a ledge completely naked with a sheer sequin fabric covering her. In another shot she’s standing wearing a traditional Indian lehenga, a modern day saree worn by women for special occasions. Fans have also cried cultural appropriation with one user writing, “they've had plenty of brown women before but,, why is she wearing a lehenga”.
It’s safe to say this Vogue India cover is one that many readers could live without. And inside the magazine cover story Kim dished on a few sibling qualities SHE could live without. Kim revealed which qualities she’d borrow and take away from each of her family members. So what are the best qualities? “My brother’s sense of humor. Kendall’s sweetness. Khloe’s I-don’t-give-a-f--ck attitude. Kourtney’s savviness around finances. Kylie’s ability to just go for it and not care what other people’s opinions are. And my Mom’s nurturing.” That’s quite the complimentary list… but of course there are a few characteristics she would delete if she could. Kim wouldn’t remove any qualities from her Mom, but would take away Kourtney’s stubbornness, Khloe’s sensitivity, Kendall’s anxiety, Kylie’s “I don’t care, I know what I’m doing” thing, and Rob’s moodiness.
