Sarawak Governor Abdul Taib Mahmud today received his instrument of appointment to continue his service for four years from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad V at Istana Negara.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, Sarawak Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg, Dewan Negara president S A Vigneswaran and Chief Justice Md Raus Sharif.
This will be Taib’s second term as governor.
