KiniNews Wrap | Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the Yang di-Pertuan Agong gave his assurance that the palace would not get involved in any political manoeuvres.

This was relayed in a pre-cabinet meeting between the prime minister and the king yesterday.

This comes amid persistent rumours that the opposition is trying to stage a political coup and unseat the Anwar administration.

Previously, blogger-in-exile Raja Petra Kamarudin claimed that the opposition has managed to gain around 120 statutory declarations to topple Anwar's administration.

However, Umno supreme council member Lokman Adam has debunked his claims.
