#KiniNews: Anwar not surprised with Dr M-Muhyiddin meeting, expected them to collude

[KiniNews] Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said he is not surprised by the meeting between former prime ministers Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Muhyiddin Yassin.

When asked if it would affect Pakatan Harapan and BN's pact in the upcoming state election, Anwar said that the meeting was expected and would not have an impact on the government.

“This is not a new thing. We know that these groups will collude to continue their ways and defend their wealth. We will be responsible for defending and protecting the country and the people’s wellbeing,” he told reporters after attending the 2023 International Social Wellbeing Conference at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel today.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has responded to Mahathir branding him as a “threat” to the Malays.

He pointed out that Mahathir once promoted a united Malaysia under Vision 2020 and said that he is a product of that vision.
