#KiniNews: 'Cowards' - Khairy flays govt for suspending Machang MP; 'It should be for a year' - Puad

[KiniNews] Former Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin has taken a swipe at government MPs after the Dewan Rakyat voted to suspend Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal.

He said it was obvious Wan Fayhsal had irritated the government by being outspoken and criticising the sale of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) shares to a Blackrock-linked company.

“Cowards. You make fun of him saying he is ‘jargon’, ‘clueless’. In the end, you abuse your legislative might to throw him out for six months,” he said.

Meanwhile, Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi highlighted that the suspension of MPs was not a new matter as many have been subjected to similar actions before.

He also opined that Wan Fayhsal should have been suspended for a year.
