Effective today, private vehicle owners are no longer required to display road tax stickers on their vehicles, but instead can use the digital Motor Vehicle Licence (e-LKM).
Also available in digital display mode is the digital Malaysian Driving Licence (e-LMM).
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said that Malaysian private vehicle owners can register their motor vehicle licences and driving licences (LMM) at the JPJ public portal or MyJPJ mobile application.
Loke added that the digital display is not yet mandatory and private vehicle owners can still display their road tax stickers during the interim period of the digital transition.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin has denied any involvement in the award of a lucrative contract allegedly linked to his son-in-law Adlan Berhan.
This comes after a report that the MACC was investigating the award on the grounds of possible abuse of power in the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe).
