[KiniNews] The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered Najib Abdul Razak to enter his defence over four abuse of power charges and 21 money laundering counts involving RM2.27 billion of funds from 1MDB.

Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah ruled that the prosecution succeeded in establishing a prima facie (answerable case) against the former prime minister over the Minister of Finance Incorporated (MOF Inc) company.

During open-court proceedings today, the former finance minister indicated he would give a sworn statement from the witness stand.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, following the decision Najib's daughter Nooryana Najwa shared a message on not losing hope.

Last night, she had also posted a photograph of her father, who has been in prison since August 2022, with the message: “We will get through this together. Sentiasa bersamamu (with you always).”
