#KiniNews: Nazri joins Muafakat Nasional; PM salary lower than six state MBs or CMs

[KiniNews] Former Umno minister Nazri Aziz has joined Muafakat Nasional, the NGO which is helmed by another former Umno minister Annuar Musa.

However, the Malaysian ambassador to the United States, who had declared his support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has distanced himself from Annuar’s backing for Perikatan Nasional.

Speaking to Malaysiakini, Nazri clarified that he is still an Umno member. Annuar, on the other hand, is a PAS member.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Kini News Lab has found that the allocated salary for the prime minister position in Malaysia is lower than those of six state MBs or chief ministers.

This is despite the PM position being the most sought-after political position.
