[KiniNews] The personal attack launched by two PAS politicians against journalist Minderjeet Kaur has been slammed.

Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah said such an attack coming from PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad is horrendous and unforgivable coming from a federal minister.

Meanwhile, Analysts believe that the PAS-led Kedah state government's decision to effectively ban gaming shops is believed to be related to the ongoing Malacca state election.

Speaking to Malaysiakini, Universiti Malaya's Awang Azman Awang Pawi said that the timing of the announcement conveniently coincided with the election where PAS and its allies in Perikatan Nasional were gunning for Malay-majority seats.

However, Awang Azman believes that the announcement might backfire on the PN coalition instead.
