DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has questioned MCA's objection to the term "kleptocratic government" in a circular by the solicitor-general.
In a statement today, Lim took the MCA to task for its criticism of a leaked email, which conveyed the Pakatan Harapan government's directive for there to be no delay in the prosecution of SRC International Sdn Bhd, 1MDB and other cases involving the previous government.
MCA had called the impartiality of the Attorney-General's Chambers into question after a circular with a "reminder" from the prime minister was allegedly issued by solicitor-general III Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria.
The letter, which has gone viral, asked that the graft trial relating to SRC International, 1MDB and other cases involving the previous "kleptocratic government" to proceed according to schedule, and any that attempts to delay proceedings should be vehemently objected to.
