Zendaya’s new HBO drama “Euphoria” is finally out and she is addressing countless concerns over the show’s subject matter.
What’s up guys it’s Sussan Mourad with Clevver News and I gotta say … after watching Euphoria its uh … yeah very risqué.
But that doesn’t mean that they’re not telling important stories. And Zendaya wants to make sure you know that
She came to Instagram just ahead of Sunday night’s premiere to say that Euphoria is “a raw and honest portrait of addiction, anxiety, and the difficulties of navigating life today. There are scenes that are graphic, hard to watch, and can be triggering”.
We told you last week that a lot of parents were worried about the nudity and the excessive drug use that occurs in the show.
And after watching I have to say, yeah, it’s definitely not for young impressionable audiences.
But maybe for some people they can benefit from the stories told in the show..
This one guy said on Twitter “Just watched Euphoria with my son … he’s a high school senior … and he said that was a pretty accurate display of life in 2019.
But another said “If you wanna show the dangers of drug abuse, maybe don’t have a bunch of glamorous, perfect-looking teens in the show getting into typical Hollywood brand trouble @HBO”
Well I saw for myself, so if you think you can handle it then you should too. And let me know what you think. Is HBO showing the real deal here, or glamorizing drug use? Let me know in the comments.
