Zendaya fans had their fashion dreams come true thanks to her new clothing collection, Zendaya Edit with Boohoo, dropping yesterday. Zendaya curated the line herself, which features flared pants, bomber jackets, sexy crop tops, sleek dresses, and all different types of street wear that all scream “fashion icon”. I mean, this IS Zendaya we’re talking about, would we expect anything less?
While fans immediately became obsessed with the line, a few were quick to point out on social media that even though Boohoo promised to have all the items in sizes ranging from 2-22, a lot of the plus sizes were missing on the site.
One fan Tweeted QUOTE, “Really disappointed to find that @Zendaya 's boohoo edit (advertised for sizes 2-20) does not have inclusive sizing across the board.#why?”
Zendaya, being the boss she is, immediately responded to the fan writing QUOTE, “I've looked into it, apparently the curve sizes sold out first and that's why they're not showing up as available.”
And just when things seemed to be resolved, another fan pointed out that some promised plus sizes were never available at all, writing QUOTE, “So y’all just gonna act like y’all forgot about having everything in size 22, right? There’s literally nothing from the collection available for my size and only 2 items available in size 20. I’m disappointed.”
Now we know how inclusive and body-positive Zendaya is, so we’re sure she was absolutely shook upon hearing this news. Boohoo.com quickly responded to the fan, admitting the error. They replied QUOTE, “Hi, apologies on this! More plus size will be available soon :)”, and followed this up with a more elaborate statement explaining the mess-up, which read QUOTE, “Due to technical issues with our website, we want to apologize for not having all sizes available of the new product on our exciting launch day. We are working quickly to solve the problem and look forward to offering the full range of the Zendaya edit as soon as possible. Boohoo.com is inclusive to women of all sizes and is working diligently to restock the sold-out items in the full size range.”
If you go on their site you’ll see that the line has a lot of sizes sold out, but there are still lots of items from sizes 4-18 that are available right now. Of course, we’re not surprised Zendaya edit is selling out so fast, because every clothing item is stunning and has that edgy, cool, sexy vibe that is signature to Zendaya herself.
Now if you were hoping to get your hands on some Zendaya Edit looks--or all of them--don’t panic because Boohoo will be restocking the line shortly.
