KJ Apa was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1997, KJ Apa found fame on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street in 2013. Before that he did not have many gigs under his belt before finding his way to Hollywood. In Hollywood, he got his big break and was cast as comic book character Archie Andrews in The CW's hit teen drama
