Riverdale Deleted Scene Reveals Betty & Jughead Were ALMOST Roomies

In a recently released deleted clip, it seems as though Riverdale’s Betty and Jughead might’ve been roomies?

Though we don’t know much about season 2, it’s definitely going to be full of drama.
Body: In this never before seen clip included on the season 1 DVD set, Betty’s parents offer to become Jughead’s legal guardians AND offer him the opportunity to live with the Coopers! Alice and Hal seem to warming to Cole Sprouse’s self-professed weird, and even Betty and Jughead can’t believe it from the look of disbelief on their faces. It doesn’t seem like Jughead accepts the offer, but this is definitely a turning point.
Alice Cooper is quick to emphasize that the offer is limited to “separate bedrooms, of course”.
WHAT! Betty and Jughead’s dynamic could have been totally different! Can you imagine if this scene had been kept in? What sort of Bughead relationship would we have come back to in season two?
Betty’s mother also seems to admit that that the “picture perfect” family, isn’t all that t’s cracked up to be. Are the Coopers going to come to terms with that? Or does Alice feel kind of responsible for the son of the South Side Serpents, whose ways she knows all too well?
So many questions! We need the answers, but we’re going to have to wait until Riverdale comes back on October 11 to find out! In the meantime, the season 1 DVD set comes out August 15th to tide you over.
