We’re just days away from Riverdale season 3 premiering, which means fans are about it finally get some answers to those burning questions we were left with at the end of season 2.
One such mystery plaguing fans since the beginning is how and when the show will introduce the rest of Jughead’s family. Well, thanks to the Riverdale panel at New York Comic Con over the weekend, we finally have our answer: In season 3!
Yup, it’s official, the new season will introduce Jughead's mom, Gladys Jones, and his sister, Jellybean, to the show.
The panel revealed that actress Gina Gershon has been cast as Jughead’s mom Gladys, who is described as QUOTE, “a businesswoman who's in charge at the salvage yard — and knows how to command the Serpents.” And filling in the role of Jughead’s little sis Jellybean, aka: JB, is newcomer Trinity Likins. In the show, Jellybean lives in Toledo with her biker mom, and is described as a cool teen who’s QUOTE, “wise beyond her years," as well as QUOTE, ”pretty adept at scamming others in order to take care of herself.”
Sounds like Jughead’s gonna have his hands full with those two.
And speaking of Jughead, Cole Sprouse recently did an AMA on Reddit and joked that he’d be down to do a “twin swap” with brother Dylan for the show.
After one fan wrote, “Tell Dylan to fill in for you one day,” Cole hilariously replied QUOTE, “I’ll start sowing those seeds of chaos now.” Hmmm, I feel like we’d be able to spot the difference if Dylan played Jughead for a scene or an episode, but who knows?! There’s only one way to find out…
