There are a few reasons why To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is quickly becoming one of the world’s all-time favorite romantic movies — the plot, the inclusivity, the perfection that is Peter Kavinsky and, of course, the chemistry between lead actors Lana Condor and Noah Centineo.
The 21-year-old actress says the connection she has with her 22-year-old co-star is unlike anything that she’s never felt with any of her other castmates in the past.
She told Entertainment Tonight QUOTE: “You hope that people will fall in love with your characters, and I think they have. It’s been great because I know both Noah and I feel the same way, in the fact that I’m so happy that Noah is on this journey with me, and it’s Noah who I have as my partner through all of this because our chemistry is genuine. It has been since day one, and I’ve never felt chemistry like this ever before with any other actor that I’ve worked with. I think we both know that it’s special, and I’m just happy that it’s him that I’m going through all this with. We make a really, really good team. It’s been crazy. People truly want us to get married.”
In addition to getting actual adoption requests from fans, Noah and Lana have also been on the receiving end of some pretty thirsty supporters.
She told ET QUOTE: “The thirst for Noah is just… It’s a desert out there, and everyone’s so thirsty for him, and I love it.”
Well, we definitely can’t argue with you there. But while Lana thinks the world’s reaction to Noah Centineo is hilarious, she totally understands.
She said QUOTE: “I’m not surprised. The moment I met him, I was like, ‘Yup, that boy’s gonna be a star.’ We all knew as we were shooting the movie that he was just going to break literally 15 million hearts. So I’m not surprised at all. Of course, I want to protect him but I don’t really have anything to protect him against because it’s all love. People just genuinely are thoroughly in love with him.”
People being “genuinely, thoroughly” in love with a fictional character slash actor they’ve never met? Yep, sounds about right.
Lana added that Noah QUOTE: “deserves all the recognition that he’s getting,” and honestly, we couldn't agree more; he’s kind of perfect! But what about you guys? Do you love Noah Centineo slash Peter Kavinsky as much as we do? Let us know down in the comments below. Thanks for watching Clevver News; I’m your host, Sinead de Vries.
