Cue the Lebron parody memes and witty hashtags. The Internet is freakin' out ya'll cus' the apocalypse is here. That's right, if you haven't heard, Lebron James announced that he will be returning to his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers - Naturally, sports fan celebs are taking to social media to express their cheers and condolences... and we're covering this celebrity angle because this is a huge happening in pop culture!
.
Let's run through a few reactions: Justin Bieber is a fan -- saying GOOD LUCK to James and Cleveland. Lil Twist said "currently looking for a crib in Cleveland lmao", Chord Overstreet said that he doesn't think he's seen the cavs trending in four years and congrats, fellow athlete Andy Roddick said QUOTE "Had the Heat the entire way.Lebron is a bigger man than me.I would have had a hard time forgiving Gilbert after that letter.Props to Lebron"... I love this one from Kris Allen about how he just drove by Burger King and a grown man was wearing a BK crown, adding that he thinks the dude was celebrating King James. A lot of people are saying that this tweet from Zach Braff is the absolute best tweet they've seen yet. Get it?? Kerry Washington is a supporter as is Diddy -- he's talking about the Lebron legacy, and even Snoop said drinks on him. Then Seth Meyers tweeted -- "Worried LeBron made his decision hastily before seeing our Late Night recruitment video -- of course referring to the funny skit from Late Night where they try to recruit Lebron to come work on the show.

So a little background -- the move was announced via interview in a Sports Illustrated story. James said this QUOTE- "When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission, I was seeking championships, and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling. Our city hasn't had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what's most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio." This much talked about return comes four years after Lebron left the Cavaliers for the Miami Heat. The switch that was heard around the world, Cavalier fans and owner, Dan Gilbert, were not happy campers. They all felt like they'd been cheated on -- I mean, I remember where I was when Lebron made the announcement. I bet you do too... The player had been in a relationship with the Cavaliers for the first SEVEN YEARS of his NBA career before leaving them for another woman -- symbolically of course. Back then, you might remember that James spoke out about receiving the backlash, saying, "What if I were a kid who looked up to an athlete, and that athlete made me want to do better in my own life, and then he left? How would I react? I've met with Dan [Cavaliers owner], face-to-face, man-to-man. We've talked it out. Everybody makes mistakes. I've made mistakes as well. Who am I to hold a grudge?" He is referring to the fact that when he left, fans burned his jersey and he received a bitter letter from Gilbert that openly attacked his character. But despite the scorned journey through the Miami desert, James says QUOTE -- "In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have. I'm ready to accept the challenge. I'm coming home." Good luck to Lebron James on the transition -- can't wait to see what's next. So what do you guys think of the big switcheroo??
