Liam Payne Reveals TRUTH Behind One Direction Reunion Rumors

It has been 23 months since One Direction last performed together, and we have recently been wondering if they ever would again. When the group first announced their hiatus back in summer 2015, they all promised that it was just a well-deserved break and that they would be back together before we could even really miss them.
Soon enough everyone had signed a solo record deal and had singles coming out. All four current members of the band have found massive success in their songs, albums and tours and as much as we love to sing along to Strip That Down, Back To You, Slow Hands and Kiwi, we definitely miss the days when they would sing together.
Although we first thought the break would only last 12 months, that was obviously not the case. With all the boys doing so well, we didn’t know how realistic a reunion really would be. In the beginning, the guys didn’t necessarily want to talk about their boyband past and instead focused on their solo careers. But now they’re starting to open up about the possibility of reuniting the band and their answers have us getting really really excited.
During an interview with Callum Gallacher on Clyde 1 radio, Liam Payne opened up about One Direction’s future and said the words that we have been dying to hear. Buckle up directioners, because he verbatim said that fans shoudn't be angry about the hiatus because QUOTE "There's so much magic that's come from it and, obviously, we are going to get back together."
Yes, you heard that right. Liam just said that the band is OBVIOUSLY going to get back together. This feels like an early Christmas present.
Liam isn’t the only member who has been adamant about the band returning to the stage. During his Billboard cover interview, Niall Horan said that the boys are one hundred percent coming back, and he hopes it happens sooner than later, too! He said QUOTE "I told my managers from the start: When One Direction comes knocking, f--k what I'm doing. I don't give a s--t if I sold out arenas or won Grammys. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for that."
Although these words definitely give us hope, no time frame has been given and it could still be a long time until they come back together again. Until that time comes, we’ll be celebrating their individual successes while still having One Direction’s whole discography on repeat.
