Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng said today during a press conference at the Parliament house that no other place in the world has a parliament where someone who is not democratically elected is able to become Speaker of the House.
He explains that this was the case ever since the constitution was amended in 1964 and asks if the current Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Pandikar Amin Mulia, will vacate his position to make way for an elected representative to take his place and fulfill his wish for parliamentary reform.
