This weekend’s SNL episode was a somber one. The monologue in the beginning about Paris was a historic moment on the show. The sketches were led by guest celeb star Elizabeth Banks. And for its musical performance British electronic duo Disclosure debuted! And for such a momentous occasion they brought along two very special international guests- Sam Smith & Lorde!

Disclosure’s performance with Lorde payed subtle homage to France with the stage lit in the colors of the French flag at the top of the show. Their performance was a hit. Lorde slayed as usual. You be the judge…
You know you’re good, when you sound like you’re lip syncing, and that’s exactly how Lorde felt when she started reading these accusations on Twitter! But instead of getting defensive, she got grateful, tweeting “wow - the fact that some people thought i was lip syncing on snl is an awesome compliment! goes without saying i have never/will never haha” and “we're just a bunch of kids from far away places and we played on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! it's all a bit overwhelming and i'm crazy grateful.” And what an episode to have been a part of!
