Lesson of the day -- don't mess with Lorde! The New Zealand native and Grammy winner isn't messing around, especially when it comes to overly photo-shopped pictures. Late yesterday, the brunette beauty, who is known for her natural locks and dark lipstick, hit twitter to share this -- 2 images from her performance at Lollapalooza in Santiago, Chile, one on top of the other, with a caption that read: I find this curious -- two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. Remember flaws are ok
Is she literally the coolest 17 year old on the planet? While she might be one of the most famous and buzzed about people on the planet right now, at the end of the day, she's still a teenage girl -- a teenage girl who, I'd like to add, posts selfies of her face covered in zit cream. Since day 1, Lorde has been both a person and an artist to stand by who she is and what she believes, even when those things are not popular. This includes what some people believed to be overly harsh critiques of other musicians, including Lorde's now close friend Taylor Swift. That said, Lorde obviously has an open mind when it comes to actually getting to know people, and we love her stance on embracing flaws.
