The family of late DAP aide Teoh Beng Hock hopes that a criminal taskforce will be set up to facilitate the fresh probe into his death.
"We hope police will set up an independent taskforce to reinvestigate the case from a criminal angle. We hope it is an independent taskforce, and Bar Council and (Human Rights Commission of Malaysia) Suhakam must join in," said Beng Hock's sister Teoh Lee Lan (above).
Lee Lan said the family is also seeking a meeting with attorney-general Tommy Thomas to discuss how the government would proceed with the reinvestigation.
