Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the centralisation of Covid-19 testing data has shown that the total number of individuals in the country tested as of today was 424,306, up from 297,342 announced by the Health Ministry yesterday.
Given that the total number of Covid-19 cases was currently 6,855, it meant that the rate of positive cases was 1.62 percent.
It also meant that for every 1,000 residents in Malaysia, 13 had been tested. This would put Malaysia in second place in the Asean region in terms of tests-per-thousand.
