Facebook owner Meta has apologised for a mistranslation by the platform’s automated translation feature, involving a Facebook post regarding Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s installation ceremony on Saturday.

Meta Southeast Asia public policy director Rafael Frankel said the technical error has since been resolved.
