Miley Cyrus opens up about her really scary allergic reaction!

Thank goodness Miley Cyrus is feeling better! We were quite worried about the songstress when she was rushed to the hospital while on tour in Kansas City a couple of weeks ago, due to a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic called cephalexin.

And after spending several days in the hospital, Miley is finally back home in California, resting up to be ready to finish the rest of her Bangerz tour. She will begin the European leg on May 2nd.

And to express her excitement for finally getting back on the road, Miley called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show to catch everyone up to speed on what actually happened to her.

She said that she had been taking the antibiotic for 5 days, and everything was going fine, until she woke up on the 6th day in a full blown medical emergency. She was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance, which apparently was the only part of this experience that she enjoyed because she had never ridden in an ambulance before, and once at the hospital her doctors immediately started treating her for a severe allergic reaction. Miley said "When you're allergic to something, you're basically poisoning yourself, so I had just basically been poisoning myself with something I didn't know I was really scary allergic to. It was so scary."

Miley went on to say that she thought she would only need to be treated in the hospital for just a night, but after 5 or 6 days in there she started going stir crazy and was so bored that she was in tears! She said, "time passed slowly. I was crying because I was so bored. I'm laying here hooked to all these machines. Every two hours, some woman comes in and pokes me with a needle, just miserable. There's nothing to do."

Miley said to keep herself entertained she would indulge in impromptu online shopping (Guuuurl, you know that's dangerous considering how many pain meds you are on!) Miley told Ryan "I made some very questionable choices on what I bought. I don't know what this hot pink mini-skirt is that I bought in the hospital."

And you know how people don't like to eat when they're sick? Well, that's not Miley! She also enjoyed gaining a few pounds thanks to her mom bringing her lots of ice cream and lots of Cracker Barrel which is a southern restaurant chain that specializes in the most amazing country style comfort food you can imagine.

Now, Miley will have to be careful transitioning back to tour life. She's definitely healthy now, but her doctors have warned her that she could easily relapse within the 27 day window of her allergic reaction. But after such a traumatic experience, we feel confident that Miley will do whatever it takes to stay healthy so she can come and meet all of you Smilers on the road.
