It’s been well over a year since Miley threatened to leave America. Back in March of 2016, Miley shared an emotional Instagram post where she wrote QUOTE, “Honestly f**k this sh*t I am moving if this is my president! I don’t say things I don’t mean!” and if you’ve been living under a rock this whole time and assumed that she really left. Well, I’ve got some news for you. Miley is still here in America and there’s a good reason for it.
Miles opened up to NME in an exclusive interview and revealed exactly why she decided to stay in Trump’s America. She reflected on her past words and admitted that it was dumb of her to make those claims when she herself knows she has a duty to make sure her voice will be heard.
Miley said QUOTE, “I’m not f**king leaving the country, that’s some ignorant sh*t, that’s dumb. Because that’s me abandoning my country when I think I’ve got a good thing to say to my country. And trust me, I hear every day on my Instagram, ‘Just leave already! When are you going to leave?’ Well, that’s not going to be any good. Does it really matter where I am? Because wherever I am, my f**king voice is gonna be heard, and I’ll make sure of it.”
While Miley continues to be bullied by Internet trolls for her previous threats, she has made it very clear that she’s not going anywhere, so suck it, haters.
