Auli'i Cravalho hits a little bump during her oscars performance of “how far I'll go”, actually, it's more like the bump hit her.
Although she got hit by a flag dancer, she showed us all how far she'll go, and she continued to belt out the finale of the song like a pro.
Before this whole incident happened the oscars were going oh so smoothly. The song was nominated for best original song, composed by Lin Manuel Miranda, the genius behind In the Heights, Hamilton, and of course, moana.
How Far i'll go is competing against City of stars from LaLa-Land, and Justin Timberlakes “can't stop the feeling!” from trolls.
After being introduced by Dwayne the rock johnson, lin manuel came out with an original prelude to The Moana performance, which rocked the house. And then when he stepped off stage, the curtains opened and revealed beautiful 16 year old Auli'i Cravalho, stepping out on center stage to sing her heart out. Behind her were were flag dancers with giant poles with blue fabric around them, they danced and pranced and moved like the ocean.. and then the ocean hit Auili'i in the back of the head. She barely even flinched, and continued to stand her ground and finish the song. She was then accompanied by an incredible round of applause.
