Damien Chazelle Becomes YOUNGEST Best Director Winner In Oscars History At 2017 Oscars

La la Land is a movie about going after your dreams and reaching for the stars, and that is exactly what director Damien Chazelle did. Damien not only won the Oscar for best director but he made history tonight as the youngest person to ever win that category at Oscars. At the young age of 32 he has already achieved so much. Makes me want to really amp up my game! Ya feel? But not only that, his movie Whiplash was nominated last year for five Oscars. I have a feeling this is only just the beginning for Damien.
Damien was sure to also thank his two leading stars Emma Stone and Ryan Goseling. Emma went on to win the Oscar for Best Actress shortly after. But the sweetest part of all, at the end of his speech Damien said quote, “Olivia my love, this was a movie about love and I was lucky enough to fall in love while making it." My heart is puddy, doesn’t get that much cuter than that! One more time shall we!?
