Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching has called on the government to come clean on the compensation mechanism for the abolishment of the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) toll and to state how did they arrive at the figure of RM70 million annually.
She said according to the Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB) 2016 Annual Report, profit from the EDL was only RM59 million in 2016 and the average daily traffic is projected to fall 10% in 2017.
