Nick Jonas Running For PRESIDENT?!?

Four brothers and 20 years from now…. We might get to see a Mr. Jonas in the white house!

What’s up guys it’s Drew Dorsey with Clevver News and if you’re not interested in politics, you might want to start paying attention, because one of your fave boy-banders is throwing his hat into the ring … for 2040!

The Jonas Brothers were, for a VERY limited time only, selling “Vote for Nick 2040” merch, i’m talking shirts and sweatshirts, on their official website.
The merch went LIVE yesterday and was only available until noon eastern standard time today.

And here I am just wondering … why?

Well, Nick has dabbled in politics juuuust a little bit

He’s spoken in the past about wanting to run for president…
And he HAS made at least one official endorsement

For George Clooney…

In 2014 he tweeted “Am I the only one that thinks George Clooney has got a master plan to run for president one day … hashtag Clooney 2016”
Ah how different things would have turned out...

And let’s not forget that Nick wouldn’t be the first artist to show interest in the office of the presidency
Please don’t Kanye.

But Nick is 26, which means he would be eligible to run in 2032.

But maybe he’s playing the long game. First, lead singer. Next, senator. Then, commander in chief…? The possibilities are endless!

And if you’re wondering about President Jonas’ potential policies?

Well, we know he’s a supporter of equal rights
he cares about the environment at least a little bit
and maybe he’ll work with his Canadian pal to get us some free healthcare
Look, soon I’m sure we’ll be up to our necks in Nick Jonas policies
But for now, if you’re down for the cause, go pre-order a Vote for Nick 2040 shirt before they all sell out. Remember when people running for president weren’t celebrities first?
