Nicki Minaj may have subdued her look this year but the whimsical wigs are making a comeback, compliments of her recent shoot with Vogue Italy.
Nicki shared some photos from the artistic shoot on instgram this morning that show her rocking a gravity defying wig with a mind of it’s own, or rather lack thereof judging from the hole in the middle of it.
In the black and white photos Nicki looks beautifully classic styled in a simple long white dress with subtle waist line and neck details as well as a shorter white dress with a plunging neckline, knee high boots, and an open ended necklace. How bout that wig though? It’s like the 60s, china doll bangs, a bob, and a doughnut had a baby. But it’s no secret that Nicki can rock a whimsical wig like no other. Another photo from the shoot shows Nicki styled in a different look this time with her head decorated with a Cleopatra-esque head adornment. Pretty right? The vibe is very Josephine Baker classic glam with Nicki in what appears to be a sheer detailed robe, velvet gloves, and fur. The gasp facial expression really tops it off. Tyra would be proud.
