Nicki Minaj speaks out about her VMA wardrobe malfunction and explains what went down. Welcome back to Clevver’s Trophy Life you guys! As I’m sure you are well aware, the 2014 VMA’s was last night and the night was filled with TONS of show stopping moments. Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande opened it with a highly anticipated performance of Bang Bang but audiences got a little more then they bargained for when Nicki had an unintentional wardrobe malfunction. Poor girl had to hold her unzipped dress together and rap like nothing was wrong. It was close, but she held the dress together so that the girls wouldn’t pop out. When speaking about the incident, Nicki told backstage reporters QUOTE- “You all know I had a wardrobe malfunction. It felt amazing to open the show. We ran out of time getting the dress zipped up.” Nicki later instagrammed a picture of the performance with the caption, “God is good. As long as a nipple didn’t come out to play, I’m fine. Love my team….No weak links…” No nipple no problem. It’s almost impossible to prevent these types of situations when you’re dealing with a live show, but the show must go on.
