Former transport minister Ong Tee Keat has quit MCA, after more than 30 years as a member and having served as its eighth president.
In a text message to Malaysiakini, Ong confirmed his resignation, which was first reported by China Press.
However, Ong remained coy on the reasons behind his decision and said he did not even make any announcement on the matter.
