Paris Jackson Opens Up To Vogue Australia About Being A Positive Role Model

You know someone is a pretty big deal when a publication like Vogue Australia is agreeing to do a whole interview via text messages.
Doing an entire interview through a phone is a pretty normal thing to do, but doing one via text message is unheard of. BUT, that’s exactly how Vogue Australia conducted their interview with Paris Jackson for her very first Vogue cover.
Obviously texting is an unconventional way to do an interview, but it was something Paris suggested and Vogue Australia’s editor-in-chief couldn’t help but agree to it, saying that the medium QUOTE, “seemed appropriate for someone of her generation.”
In the 19-year-old’s profile, Paris opened up about her current passions. She said QUOTE, “I have so many causes that are dear to my heart and fighting for the people, I feel, is my duty.”
While Michael Jackson’s only daughter is currently focused on doing the quote “fashion thing,” Paris revealed that she wants to be a positive influence in the fashion industry. She said QUOTE, “I really want to leave a positive imprint in the fashion world, mostly regarding the media and the stereotypical beauty standard that is blasted all over every magazine you see, every article that pops up on your phone screen, every billboard you see while driving down the street. I already have many young girls looking up to me and I want to be something their parents are OK with them looking up to.” Spoken like a true role model.
Over the weekend, Paris shared her cover shot on Instagram and thanked the magazine for the amazing opportunity. She also wrote, “One of the first interviews where my words haven’t been twisted, and they get all the info straight from the source! So thankful.”
