PAS has urged Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to issue a public apology over his allegation that Perikatan Nasional (PN) had used proceeds from gambling companies to help finance its campaign for last year’s general election.

This comes after Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Azalina Othman Said’s remark that MACC was unable to verify claims that PN had received gambling funds.

PAS information chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin said the answer by the minister clearly shows that the Pakatan Harapan-BN government led by Anwar is lying.
