There are some jokes from Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast that completely crossed the line and won’t even make it to broadcast.
Even days after the event, all the buzz the roast has yet to die down due to the nature of the hilarious no-rules, no-filtered jokes. But it seems that not ALL jokes will be included in the March 30th premiere. During the last weekend’s taping, we hear that a few of the participating comedians took things too far by referencing Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker who died in a car accident in 2013.
Comedian Natasha Leggero jabbed at a fellow roaster, saying, QUOTE, "I'm not saying Martha Stewart is old, but she needs a new Walker more than the Fast and Furious franchise." And another comedian, Jeff Ross, also reportedly poked fun at Ludacris, starting off with the rapper’s song lyrics, saying QUOTE, "’Move bitch! Get out the way!' That's what Paul Walker should've said to that tree." From what we hear, Jeff was immediately BOO-ed by the live audience. He then proceeded to ask, "Too soon? Too fast? Too furious? Give me a break, people! I'm trying to save this kid's life."
In fact, Ludacris, and even the roast-ee himself, Justin Bieber, were not very amused by the Paul Walker references, and later backstage, Justin revealed that he didn’t particularly like those jokes. Agreed,Justin! Not cool.
So we know comedians are totally in the moment when they’re blurting out these jokes and trust me, I’m always down for a good laugh and you know that Comedy Central roasts are going to be HARD, but these jokes went too far.
