Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar, Subang MP Wong Chen and Klang MP Charles Santiago who were the former members of defunct Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) caucus urged the Pakatan Harapan government to reject TPP’s successor, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
They said it brings serious ramifications to the country such as the price of life-saving medicines to skyrocket as a result of the enforcement of patents which safeguard the interest of large pharmaceutical companies.
