The Islamic Development Department, Jakim, will play a pivotal role in determining whether a logo found on the soles of Vern's footwear models represents Arabic writing for "Allah" or simply a shoe graphic.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain revealed this morning that police are collaborating with Jakim in the investigation of this religiously charged controversy.
