How's THAT for a season premiere?! Yes, Pretty Little Liars returned for its highly-anticipated fifth season on Tuesday night, and as expected -- it was totally action packed.
Now, we're going to be recapping the episode for those who maybe haven't watched yet or maybe you HAVE watched and want a safe space where they can discuss last night's happenings. So, by that very definition, there are going to be some SPOILERS here.

Now let's get to the episode. So, basically a LOT when down, but let's start off with the biggest spoiler of the night -- SHANA was "A"? Yes, though it appeared earlier in the episode Shana was trying to help out Aria as she waited in the hospital to hear news about Ezra, it turns out Shana was playing the girls all along. And she REALLY played Ali, because Shana was one of the only people who trusted Ali actually trusted. Shana held the Liars at gun point, and admitted she was the one who tried to kill them that night at the lodge. And Shana's main reason for wanting to see their demise?

Dang girl, simmer down! However, Shana got a taste of her own medicine, as Aria showed up at the last minute to defend her girls and well...

Another one bites the dust. The girls now think that with Shana out of the picture, it's all over. HOWEVER, we have a feeling that things are FAR from over, especially since we saw Mona, Lucas, Paige and a number of other henchmen plotting against Ali.
Other big moments in the show include CeCe's big escape and the reveal that she wasn't actually Red Coat, but that Ezra had been paying her to gather intel for his book. Also, she actually SAVED Emily's life the night she almost got sawed in half. Way to help a sister out!
Also, it looks as though Ezra is going to pull through after getting shot by A, but one thing we're dying to know more about is Melissa's big secret! It obviously has something to do with the girl that's in Ali's grave, and though she tried to come clean with Office Holbrook, after Melissa told her dad, he told her to keep her mouth SHUT. Maybe Melissa had something to do with the girl's death? I mean, we know how Spencer's dad likes to protect his girls. However, it might be awhile before we find that out that big secret since the show just got renewed for TWO more seasons!
