As if keeping my cool is even possible right now. Freeform has officially ordered the pilot for a brand new PLL spin-off series entitled Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, & so many of our faves are returning to bring the new show to life.
The Perfectionists is based on a book by Pretty Little Liars author, Sara Shepard, and will star both Sasha Pieterse & Janel Parrish, as the characters we’ve come to know and love, Allison DiLaurentis & Janel Parrish. And, of course, it just wouldn’t be complete without our mom… Marlene King? Duh.
In a statement, the executive vice president of programming and development at Freeform said QUOTE “At Freeform, we are committed to delivering shows that push boundaries and become a part out our viewers’ lives. Pretty Little Liars was a cultural phenomenon so it’s no wonder fans wanted more.”
Well, she’s definitely right there.
Freeform shared the synopsis for The Perfectionists which reads
“Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi."
Sounds familiar. No words yet on how Alison and Mona will be involved with this murder, but Marlene is definitely excited to get back to work with her girls. Marlene said QUOTE
"I can’t wait to introduce our fans — and Sasha and Janel — to a new world of thrills and chills in Beacon Heights."
Okay, this needs to happen ASAP. But seriously though.
