Click to Subscribe! ► - It's almost Halloween 2016! It's time to get serious power into my upgraded Trail Finder 2, and that is to upgrade it again! My friend Everett noted the other day that the 35t Bushed motor was simply not "bad-a$$" enough, and that we needed more power under the hood of this Blazer. I concur. So, in this film.. I swap out the "old" motor and ESC, and upgrade it to a 1/8th scale BUGGY setup. A Tekin RX8 and T8 Brushless 2050kv Motor. Today, I will power it on a 3s Lipo Battery.. but the limit will be 6S.
My driver is Captain Spaulding, (Sid Haig), .. from Rob Zombie movie "House of 1000" corpses. Being the Halloween season, and with all the crazy clowns running around - I feel he is a fitting character - especially if you have seen the film.
A shout-out to my friend Bill, who did an amazing paint job to the blazer. His specialty is in aging trucks through use of paint, abrasion, rust colors and more. I am honoured to have one of his trucks, and it was a god trade for some RC gear. This Chevy Blazer represents a long passed opportunity that I missed when I was 19 years old.. but I wasn't going to miss it this time!
I this film I switch out the motors, and give some soldering advice. I am not the best at this, but I have done my fair share.
