Rihanna BREAKS The Internet With Pope-Inspired Look At 2018 MET Gala

Rihanna shut the Met Gala down per usual, this time dressed as the Pope.
I’m gonna let you finish Pope Francis, but Rihanna stepped out in the chicest Pope fit of all time.
Rihanna and the Met are like sand at the beach, it’s a package deal. She never fails to slay and always does the utmost justice to the theme. This year’s theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination and Rihanna literally showed up as the Pope. Dressed in (Mar-shgela) Rihanna was decorated in an intricately beaded and embroidered (pay-pal) headdress with a matching strapless minidress, attached skirt, and overcoat. She accessorized the decorated look with a cross pendant, bedazzled pumps, several rings, and a small clutch. Naturally fans lost their minds along with everyone else who was there to witness the iconic fashion moment. On Twitter one fan wrote – “White smoke seen pouring out of Vatican chimney as Rihanna hits the Met Gala runway, meaning she has replaced Francis as pontiff.” Another said – “I wonder how many people just converted to Christianity after this.” And the jaw drops continued with a fan writing – “Rihanna out Poped the Pope.”
As I mentioned, this wasn’t the first time Rihanna has turned heads at the Met Gala. In 2015 when the theme was China: Through the Looking Glass, Rihanna showed up in that unforgettable yellow coat dress that literally spanned the entire stair case of the Met. Rihanna does not play when it comes to paying homage to fashion and this year was no different. Rihanna co-hosted this year’s Gala with Donatella Versace and Amal Clooney.
