TAKE A BOW, RIRI, because after all her hard work put into creating this track, it’s no doubt ANTI is about to be a game changer, guys.
After what seemed like an eternity of online teasers and world tour announcements for Rihanna’s 8th studio album ANTI, the popstar finally revealed that she finished working on the album, so of course the next step of rolling out the music is in full effect.
She released her first single off of ANTI this morning called “Work”. The track contains a lowkey tropical house vibe, similar to Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” and also features a rap verse featuring Drake, marking this their third collab together following “Take Care” and “What’s My Name?” “Work” was released to Tidal but has also been rolling through radio waves this morning conveniently playing on our way to, well, work. Check it out:
Drake perfectly tag-teamed the song with RiRi, rapping verses like, “If you had a twin, I would still choose you,” making for the perfect Valentine’s Day Insta caption. This also makes for a No. 1 hit in the U.S in just 90 minutes, and has even hit No. 1 in over 30 countries.
As far as Rihanna’s newer tracks, “Bitch Better Have My Money”, “FourFiveSeconds” and “American Oxygen”, it is unclear whether those will appear on ANIT, but be on the lookout for even more released music in the very near future because Rihanna is set to kick off her ANTI world tour in San Diego on February 26th.
So after you’re finished hitting that repeat button over and over again this morning, I want to know what you guys think of Rihanna’s new single, so get the conversation going right down here in the comments section below and after that, don’t forget to click right over here to check out a few artists who are taking a break in 2016.
