I know you’re all waiting for new music from Rihanna just like I am, but her absence from the studio has been nothing but good news for the singer. Why? It’s all about that money, honey.

What’s up guys it’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver news and today I’m here to celebrate Rihanna, who was just named the highest paid woman in the music industry.
Forbes, the same company that just named Jay-Z the first hip-hop artist billionaire, has released their annual list of America’s richest self-made women.

At the top of the Richest Female Musicians list? Rihanna, with a cool $600 million.
Wait, so it’s not Beyonce??
Forbes reports that most of that money comes from Rihanna’s cosmetics line “Fenty Beauty”. She raked in about $570 million in just the first 15 months of business.
Since starting Fenty Beauty, Rihanna has also expanded partnerships with clothing brands. She began a lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, and has since started dabbling in high-end clothing as well.
The 31-year-old has only made a small portion of her wealth through her music, which miiight be why she put her next album on the back burner. And TBH after hearing those numbers, I totally get it sis.

OK yeah, sure I joke about Rihanna holding out on releasing music, but she actually has been teasing her 9th album by posting photos of her in the studio. Which by the way guys… according to The Mirror she reportedly rented an entire private island to record it!
And Rihanna fans were nothing but happy for the multi-hyphenate talent, saying,
and
“damn so rihanna is going to be a billionaire dating a billionaire ??”
That billionaire she’s reportedly dating is Hassan Jameel, a businessman from Saudi Arabia.

So let’s give a shout out to Rihanna for becoming the richest self-made woman in music, and well,
But What other musicians were on that list of America’s richest self-made women? Well, Madonna followed Rihanna at $570 million. Celine Dion, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift rounded out the rest of the top 5.
