Rihanna DISSES Diplo's Music & Then Sort Of Apologizes In Best Way Possible

Once again, Rihanna has proven that she officially gives ZERO…. You know whats…. because according to Majer Lazer’s Diplo himself, she has no time for, well, Diplo. In a new interview with GQ Style, Diplo admitted that he’d been trying to get Rihanna to collab with him for a few years now, but revealed to the magazine that she’s reportedly turned him down with some slightly savage burns.
He shared with GQ all that went down when asking her to collab, telling the mag that he played her “Lean On” back in 2015, to which she told him that she doesn’t do house music, which is slightly comical considering she’s been featured on multiple house music tracks over the years.
Diplo then revealed that he had a session with her, along with Future, The Weeknd and Metro Boomin (before anybody knew who he was), to which he detailed what went down, saying QUOTE, “Future played her, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, Yo, G, I'm leaving unless you let me play her a song. So I played her a song. And she was like, ‘This sounds like a reggae song at an airport.’ I was like, I'm gonna go kill myself.”
Yeahhh, thinking that one might’ve left a mark… but in true Rihanna fashion, when Diplo’s story made headlines, RiRi then screenshotted it and posted it to her own Instagram account. Not only did the headline read that she dissed him loud and clear, but her caption was literally everything as she didn’t even attempt to fix the situation by writing QUOTE, “#DutyFree. My bad @diplo”
I mean, hey, can’t blame a girl for knowing what she wants! Naturally the internet was totally here for it, as one tweets read, “may you curve any and all men wasting your time with the tenacity of rihanna telling diplo his music sounds like airport reggae” and another summed it up perfectly, saying “Ladies. Know exactly what you want. Know what you don't want. Say no. Clown wack ass dudes. Be. More. Like. Rihanna.”
But despite being publicly burned, Diplo has still remained confident that one day these two will collab, ending his statement by saying QUOTE, “I think before we're all done, she'll be on a song of Major Lazer's. Hopefully. But if not, I don't really care.”
So who knows, maybe Rihanna will finally give in, or she may just continue to live her best life and stay true to her word. Regardless, we love Rihanna for always speaking the truth and having no shame.
