Diplo disses Taylor Swift AGAIN and fans are not having it.
Yea, this isn’t the first time Diplo’s gotten into some heat after talking about T-Swizzle.
If you recall, back in 2014, Diplo tweeted out QUOTE “Someone should make a kickstarter to get Taylor Swift a booty.” Which, naturally, made Swifties pretty upset. So much so, that a lot of them went after him on social media.
After all the backlash, Diplo opened up to GQ Style in 2015, saying QUOTE “All I know is don’t ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift…She has like 50 million people that will die for her. You can’t step into that arena. That was something I was never prepared for ... one of the biggest mistakes of my career was definitely fucking with her."
But it’s looking like Diplo didn’t quite learn his lesson. After an interview with Rolling Stone leaked online, revealing some unkind words he had to say about Taylor’s comeback single, the backlash has started all over again.
In the interview, Diplo said QUOTE “Music is in the hands of the kids. Streaming is literally what kids want to listen to over and over again. They want to listen to ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Bodak Yellow.’ They don't want to listen to, like, ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’”
He then added QUOTE
“That music doesn't relate to them at all. I don't think it ever did. They were only given that by radio and marketing budgets. I'm impressed with Post Malone. I can relate to him more than Taylor Swift.”
This obviously got Swifties pretty heated and many of them took to social media to share their thoughts. Some spammed Diplo’s Instagram with snake emojis, while others tweeted using the hashtag #DiploIsOverParty. Like this fan who tweeted, “@diplo funny all the haters now using Taylor's name bc she's more successful”
This swiftie got straight to the point by simply saying “Diplo sweetie if you don't like Taylor stop talking abt her that's easy u see
At an attempt to end the war against Taylor fans, Diplo tweeted out QUOTE ” calm down swifties "all too well" is one of my fav songs” Though I agree with Diplo on the fact that All Too Well is one of the best Taylor Swift songs ever, I have to say, it’s never a good idea to ask someone to calm down, especially when that “someone” is a rabid Taylor Swift fanbase. I’m sure this will all blow over soon, but in the meantime, I want to hear from you guys.
